Jad is a third-year Energy Systems Engineering Student at the University of Regina, concentrating on Sustainable Energy. Jad joined the Situm Group as a volunteer in the summer of 2025, helping out wherever he was needed—eventually, he was hired on as a part-time research assistant and took on more impactful projects. Currently, he is working with other members of the Situm Group in investigating ways to contain and store waste forms using spent nuclear fuel, a Zr metal alloy. Outside work, Jad is a member of the Regina Engineering Students’ Society as its Vice-President Corporate Relations.
