Biography

For his PhD in Geology, Dr. Chadirji-Martinez investigated thorium speciation in materials from rare earth element and titanium metallurgy. He has a background in inorganic synthesis and experience with a suite of both conventional and synchrotron analytical methods. His expertise is in analyzing residues, ores, and slag using XANES, EXAFS, µsXRF, and Laue XRD. Currently Dr. Chadirji-Martinez is developing a nuclear waste form for chloride salt waste produced from molten salt reactors.
